About your role:

The Director, Marketing Fandom Tabletop will work across Fandom’s role playing game businesses, including our successful D&D Beyond business, to drive audience growth, engagement and loyalty. They will build a growth strategy for each business based on an understanding of audience and an ROI driven mix of marketing tactics. They will work with center of excellence teams (events, comms, analytics, performance marketing, design, etc) and cross-functional leaders to bring these plans to life. The Director will report to Fandom’s Chief Marketing Officer.

You Will…

  • Build brand narrative, hierarchy, messaging and design to align with USP and activate target audience
  • Develop packaging and pricing through rigorous testing to maximize satisfaction and revenue
  • Activate against social, email, SEO, events, comms and paid marketing to drive and engage audiences across each business
  • Develop a strategy to cross-pollinate audience across channels (wikis, video, other RPG and IP holder platforms) to maximize owned and operated marketing opportunities and super serve consumers
  • Determine event, press and partnership strategies to build awareness and favorability
  • Uncover and ideate innovative opportunities to drive virality and earned media
  • Work with product organization to optimize site and cart configuration and flow to maximize engagement and conversions
  • Work with Tabletop team to build audience growth forecasts and incorporate marketing budget/needs to reach business goals
  • Manage needs across teams and build resourcing plans and investments as business expands

You Have

  • 10+ years in digital marketing
  • Experience in brand management and eCommerce
  • Experience across multiple marketing levers including social, email, performance marketing, events, comms, and analytics
  • Experience building and growing new or extension brands from scratch
  • Knowledge about D&D and other tabletop RPGs preferred but not required
  • Experience working as a licensee or licensor a plus
  • Data driven with a good balance of creativity, risk taking and ROI
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and working with non-fully dedicated resources
  • Independent worker, able to build consensus across multiple stakeholders
